Yang Hyun Suk (Hangul: 양현석, Hanja: 楊玄石 ; born December 2, 1970 in Seoul, South Korea), also known as Yang Goon, YG and Yang Ssa, is a South Korean record producer and hip-hop singer.
Biography
Yang debuted as part of the legendary Korean group Seo Taiji & Boys and was member until the group disbanded in January 1996. After the group's breakup, he went on to establish and produce other artists.
In 1998, he established YG Entertainment and released his first solo album which featured a song composed by Seo Taiji. This was their first collaboration since the breakup. Yang Goon has produced fairly successful artists under his entertainment, most notably Jinusean, 1TYM, Se7en, Gummy, and his latest, Big Bang. He has shown 2NE1 now which is a group for 4 girls, with Big Bang like one group in Lollipop which is a song for an advertisement of LG Cyon.
